Payment procedures for the return
of supporting material
The Foundation will not return printed material (e.g., books and
articles from journals or magazines) even if you enclose
payment. To ensure the return of other
material (e.g., photographs, slides, compact discs, scores, DVDs,
videotapes, films, etc.) the following options are available:
- The most preferred option is to set up an account
with FedEx, UPS or DHL and send us your
account number when you submit your material. We will return
materials by FedEx Ground/Home Delivery (FedEx International Economy
for overseas delivery), UPS Ground (UPS Worldwide Expedited for
overseas delivery) or DHL Ground (DHL International Express
for overseas delivery) unless otherwise requested. We can
also send packages with the instructions for the service to collect
payment on delivery (COD), in which case you would not need an account
with any service.
- If you cannot set up an account with FedEx, UPS or
DHL, and are not able to accept packages sent COD, you may send us a
check in U.S. dollars for the shipping amount. Call or email
us before sending a check in order to find out the shipping weight for
your package.
- If you are in the New York City area, you may also
come by our office to pick up your material. You must call or email us beforehand so
that your material can be prepared and the building security can be
alerted to your visit.
- Please do not send stamps to cover shipping
costs. Do not send self-addressed envelopes affixed
with stamps or dated pre-metered postage. If you do not
require your material to be returned, you may indicate this on the list
which should accompany the work you submit.
